Do's & Don'ts

Do's

• Prepare for Classes every weekend
• Discuss the topics to be covered and plan with peer Centre Volunteers
• Arrange a substitute to replace you incase you cannot make it to class that day
• Reach the Centre minimum 10 minutes before Class Start time
• Start with a quick Ice breaker / Focus Activity
• Focus uniformly on all kids
• Engage all kids for the entire duration of the class
• End the class with a quick recap and if possible a small activity
• Share Activity feedback to all Centre Volunteers and Point of Contacts

Don'ts

• Ask kids what topic is to be handled that day
• Engage kids to play games on the computer
• Scold kids in front of the class or in private
• Separate any kid from the group at all times
• Avoid close contact with kids
• Leave early from class unless in case of emergency
• Come late to class unless in case of emergency
