The purpose of the app is to explore the historical usage of Melbourne train stations, and to predict its usage in the future.
There is also a map to show you where the station is located.
This app allows you to see historical statistics for individual stations.
It will also show some other station information, such as the Line Group, Network Segment and Line Segment of the selected station.
At the bottom of the page shows a map of the station.
Zoom out using the +/- button in the top left of the map to find out where the train station is in relation to Melbourne's CBD/downtown.
For non-Melbournians, I encourage you to zoom into Melbourne's CBD, and look for Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Olympic Park, sitting on the south-eastern corner of the grid-like centre. As at the time of writing this, this is where Djokovic and Murray are playing for the championship of the Australian Open!
A simple prediction function is available to predict annual patronage for the selected train station for 2014.
You will notice, however, that train patronage data was not recorded in 2012, when the train operator for Melbourne was transferred to Hong Kong's MTR.
