Poetics and Politics of Computation

Poetics and politics of computation is a class for students to build conceptual tools and critical perspective for art and technology.

In this class, students will learn about the history and critical theory of art and contemporary issues with a specific focus on the cultural significance of computation.

Reading assignments will help students investigate the poetics of computation and the poetic effects created with computation.

Students will be asked to write a response to weekly prompts, and they will present the documentation or performance, and discuss about it in groups.
