Market Opportunities

We estimate U.S. online ad spend of $43 billion in 2013 and expect this to reach $77 billion in 2017, a CAGR of 15%. We estimate total U.S. online ad spending to reach 40% of total media spend and 28% of total ad spend by 2017, up from 26% and 17%, respectively, in 2013. In contrast, we expect total U.S. media ad spending to grow at a CAGR of 4% and total U.S. advertising to grow at a CAGR of 2% over the same time period.
