Hermione writes a bunch of spells which are coincidentally exactly the same as the distributed version control system, Git

Harry, Ron and Hermione each have their own parchment

They contribute back to the origin parchment

Commits are made and recorded with enchanted snakes

Luna Lovegood can come in and clone it (gets a new parchment and snake)
