A very years ago it was question.

now?

The next "mobile-first"?

offline-first, of course!

It's becoming a thing.

Is offline a real problem?

Mobile connection isn't reliable yet.

Current UX issues with offline.

• Save state.
• Offline Access.
• Letting users know the app works offline, even.

Do we still use a floopy disk?

Google's solution?

Drop save icons.

Offline Access

A lot of apps have solved dropped connectivity with db sync.

But they don't let you access the app from an offline state.

• appcache
• service workers

I'll explain more in a simple demo.

This goes against years of interneting experience.

It's a problem that needs to be solved.
