History

  • OHM 2013 : lanzarote (Cyberhippietotalism)
  • Recurring idea the last months (setup hackbase.be website to aggregate possible location info -- Oct 23 2013)
  • Hackerspace Brussels (HSBXL): In search for a new space

Structure

  • VZW/ASBL HACKBASE brussels (TAZio?)
  • Searching for founding members
  • Membership fee wil need to cover the shared costs (rent, power bill, etc)

Space we're looking at ftm: TAZio

  • Molenbeek
  • Close to etangs-noirs/zwarte vijvers metro
  • 700 m from canal (compte de flandre)

who

  • we're 4 now (hs would be fifth)
  • searching for more ppl to join in (ateliers, work / live)
  • and organisations (open tech/art&soc)

how

  • participants (private ppl & org) become member of the hackbase vzw,
  • board of the hackbase decides on membership fee (to cover basic recurring costs )
  • ppl living in small personal units spread over the living & atelier floors / big shared spaces (library, kitchen, sanitary, wood, metal atelier)
  • hackerspace sharing spaces with other organisations?

  • Entrance (4.5m wide)
  • Income (double gate, 4.5m wide)
  • Ceiling is 2.5m high
  • We found gas heating / ventilation connected -- last use : 2 years ago)

  • This side of the building is around 1100 m3
