What is the Dream Act?
- DREAM stands for Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors
- This Bill provides residency to specific immigrants.
- Requirements:
- Entered the country before AGE 16
- Have an american high school diploma or GED
- Are 35 years old or younger
- Have no criminal record
- In return they get:
- To complete 1 2-year degree
- OR 2 years in the military
What are some of the PROS?

Help millions of illegal immigrants get legal status in US.
Pro 2
Help the economy from the new taxes the government receives from illegal immigrants.
Pro 3
Keep students in the education system.
Pro 4
Illegal immigrants will get the government resources i.e. Social Security
Pro 5
Qualifying immigrants can apply for student loans and grants to help with their studies or their jobs.
