ForkIt

• Log in to GitHub

• Go to https://github.com/RiaanBurger/slides-revealjs

• Click the Fork button (top-right)

• You will now be on your fork of the project:

• https://github.com/YourName/slides-revealjs

ForkIt:

Clone your Fork

To edit your fork on your PC, you need to clone it:

mkdir slides-revealjs
cd slides-revealjs
clone git@github.com:YourName/slides-revealjs.git

You can now edit the slides for yourself as in the first slidewhow, use grunt server for a live local site and add/remove slides as described in the first slideshow.

ForkIt:

Update (upload) your Fork

Before you can upload your project to your forked repository, you need to update the yo runcom:

vim .yo-rc.json

Change to your GitHub name:

"githubUsername": "YourName",

Now you can publish your site with:

grunt deploy

It will be hosted live at:

https://yourname.github.io/slides-revealjs

But may take 10-20min to become available.

• Keep them Short (8-12 min)

• Make them Complete

  • Don't leave anything out

  • People should be able to use them as guides

• Then:

Fork and use others' presentations for:

• Your Drupal friends
